Another Little Quilt Swap

This is my little quilt for an on-line swap. I have never done this before. There are 41 participants and you get a name and make a quilt for that person. I can't tell you who this is for - but I hope she likes it. It measures 12 by 25 inches - not your traditional rectangle. But then, I'm not traditional. You cannot see some beading that I added - down the outside border, in the stars and a couple seed beads with the ladies. We had frost warnings last evening - We covered the garden with the green tarp, put towels over some plants and moved some to the covered front porch.
I was at Horrocks to get some bread and milk and just happened to walk thru the lovely greenhouses.

This is hanging right outside the family room, under the deck. I LOVE fuscia - and so do the hummingbirds. The windows in the background are our sunroom - yes, it's two stories high!!!

This is hanging on the front porch - visible from the window over the kitchen sink. It's so full and lovely - sure hope I can keep it like that.

I have some of these trailing petunia-like plants in a container out front.

The smell of petunias remind me of the front walk at my grandparents farm home in Utah. Amazing how we associate smells and tastes to things in our past. 7-up is my Grandma in Evanston - she always had it one hand when I visited.

I can't imagine that the person receiving this quilt wouldn't just love it! I do! My maternal grandma used to smell like the almond and honey hand cream --- and you are right, frangrance takes you back in time. The flowers are lovely.

I'm glad to see you got the hanging petunias - they look great. I took mine inside on the frost night, so they survived.
