Progress and Lime Green
I have cut out and basted a couple flowers......hard to see, and may add some leaves.
I do not always plan out my arty quilts - they evolve as I'm working.
There will be at least one more yellow flower in the upper right.......today's project - one of them!!!
A friend who comes to my library walked in with this for Lime Green Linda.
It's soo soft and I'm so glad to have such thoughtful friends.

Quilts
This is from a block exchange in 2006.
It is for the bed of someone very special to us.
This has been finished for some time. It's a take off from a pattern that Carolyn did - only I couldn't do it as printed - too folky for me!!!!!! I also couldn't do that vase and vien and flowers 4 times - 2 was enuf!
Lots of beads on this one. Crystal beads in all the diagonal one inch squares - sure beats hand quilting thru seams!!!!

Froggie visits Foster Library
Froggie came to visit the library this afternoon.
Mrs. Bolley read stories about Froggie.

They sang songs together.
Froggie liked the stories about him.
Three speckled frogs on a log............remember that song???

Froggie had a good time in front of the children.

After the stories, Froggie wanted to have his picture taken with children.

VOILA!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Mel........it really made my day!!!!!!!!!!!!
Friends are the bestest support ever..........Ashley is learning that as she is facing a new phase in her life - and that of the children. They have left an abusive situation with Alex and are moving on. It will be hard, but better for all of us................
Thanks everyone.

Quilt Weekend at Debs'
Friday, eight of us went to Debs' home in Grand Rapids for the weekend - we were joined by #9 on Saturday. After lunch we started shopping!!!!!
Some were done fast and had to sit and wait!!!!!!

Others kept finding more and more and more fabric to buy.
We sit around and sew and chat and enjoy being in the company of good friends.
Bonnie showed this quilt top that she has made.

We watched the MSU basketball team loose the last game of their season. Turns out the womens' team lost too.........sad........

Occasionally, Ruth would post pictures so our friend, Phyllis, could join us from California.

Deb hard at work!!!!!!!

Lori has made these blocks for her children - a boy and a girl quilt.

Quilters hard at work.
Carol showed us her progress on a mystery quilt..........notice the way she has combined 6 and 9 inch blocks.........love the way the turquoise highlights this......
