Sauder Village Quilt Fair - 2008

This is the group that went to Sauder Village today. It is in Archbold, Ohio - just south of the Michigan border. Today was the last day of their Quilt Fair. One of the may colorful quilts.......

This is an entry in the art quilt category by Cindy.
This wall hanging had 3-D inner petals......cool!!

My "Good Morning" took an Honorable Mention in the wall quilt category. WOW!!

Another colorful wall quilt that caught my eye.

Pat is carefully reading a tag on a quilt.

I recognized many of the blues in this quilt.....

Bento Boxes!!!!

Another colorful quilt.

This is the herb garden. I had a shopping list for items from the herb shoppe.
The lady said no one had ever come in with a shopping list before - I planned ahead for a change.

It was a beautiful day and great company of my quilt friends. I'm so glad that Pat was able to join us. Thanks to Ruth and Deb for driving.
We got home and John grilled steaks on the grill, I made oven sweet potato fries and we had strawberries and mango - good dinner.

Did it bother you that they wrapped your Good Morning quilt and some others around a corner and put a lot of the little quilts on point? I thought it was very odd . . . and more than a little presumptuous to give the quilt a different orientation than the way the maker designed it, especially since the quilts were judged after they were hung that way.

Once again - were we at the same quilt show? It always amazes me that different people see different things.
