Great Horned Owl

This guy has been hanging out in the back by the creek. I have seen him three times now........
It has been a long time since I've seen an owl in my backyard....years!!! A quickie for Andrew.....something for him to take to day care......and learn the letters in his name!!!
It's a double flannel - some that I had in my "flannel" box.

I have been loving applique!!! For those who know me, that is really something. These are fairly simple flowers and leaves, but will add to the hearts that I appliqued. I want the leaves to overlap on the heart part. There will be borders similiar to this on all sides.

It's not perfect, but I am enjoying this handwork.

Busy weekend coming up - Quilt Show and visitors from Japan staying at our home, too. I will get lots of pictures.
