A Little Golf and a Lot of Water

Sunday in the heat, we all played golf. Allison did putt on a couple holes, but mostly manned the pin, ate snacks, etc. She does ask a lot of questions about what we are doing - whether it is at golf or many other activities.

We came home for lunch and returned to enjoy some time at the pool. Allison liked being in water over her head and touching the bottom when she jumped in. She seems to be gaining confidence in the water.
We got lots of rain - and the creek was way up over the banks.

Today we met Ruth and her sister, Debbie and daughter Catherine from Minnesota, at the Water Park.
Allison took right off in the water and the slides.
The girls had a great way to get the double tube up the steps ..................

and come down into the water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a great mushroom of water to stand in.

Allison liked the body slide too.

Catherine taught Allison to go under the ropes, use big arms and swim with her head under the water. It's always good to hear it from a friend. Allsion also opened her eyes under water.

She didn't want to leave the water park - we were there for four hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so proud of the way she was trying to swim and being underwater and enjoying the slides.

She showed me confidence that comes with being eight and a half!!!

Tonight at dinner she said her 2 favorite things were going down all the slides and having Catherine teach her things.

I think she will sleep well tonight!!!!!

And she wants to return to the water park over the pool because there is so much to do!!!
