At one time there were 11 of us - maybe 12.......good friends together. Lori, Carol, Ruth, Carol and Daisy came on Friday - I'm sure they went shopping that day. Cindy, Lisa, Louise and I came on Saturday morning. I know some of us went shopping that morning!!!! I HAD to get some more space fabric for the quilt for Alexander and more of the "turtles" and other coordinating fabrics for my quilt-a-long blocks.
Cindy, Louise and Lisa left late Saturday afternoon.
Cindy, Lisa and Bonnie are working hard on projects - or just talking..........
There were 4 sewing machines humming at times!!!!

Saturday eve, Lori and Deb prepared a really delicious and colorful stir fry.
Wine is a must before, with and after the meal!!!!!!!!
Daisy is quite the drinker!!!!!!!!

These are all the January Quilt-A-Long blocks that were there..........All using the same block pattern.........Love the sock!!!!!!!

These are my 2 blocks so far - February on the left, January on the right.

Carol was sewing on this quilt - a wedding quilt for a relative.........it's beautiful - sure hope it is appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Many of us worked on Block Exchange blocks as we have recently gotten the directions from our friends.

Ruth sewed this one for Deb - who requested Bird Blocks. Look at the depth in the center fabric - WOW!!!

Ruth and I hard at work with our hand piecing!!!!!!!!!
Ruth had to gather many of the projects that people worked on..........bindings, quilt tops, blocks, etc.

We also checked up on our friend Jan's bike ride across the United States. She is posting about her progress. Ruth is chuckling at the picture of the possom meeting the possom!!!!!!!!!!

Lunch on Sunday was our last meal together - we then gathered our belongings and drove back to Lansing......
Thank you Deb for providing the opportunity for quilting friends to share the weekend........we love our time together.

Monday update - Can't believe I did not gain weight - scales said the same this morning as they did on Friday!!!!!!!!
Even so, I got out this morning for a 3.8 mile walk. Don't know what the temp is, but it has to be below 10 degrees. Cold, clear and crisp. I'm heading for the hot shower!!!!!!!!

Thanks for posting the photos, Linda!
And a BIG thank you to Debra for hosting our annual 3-day "rereat"!!!! I truly treasure our time together and our long-time friendships.
Ditto Ruth's comments. This was a very productive weekend for me. With Rose's two pink/green quilt tops almost completed, plus a good start on a third top. PLUS all that new fabric I don't really need -- what's need got to do with fabric?? -- but just had to buy. Daisy
Ditto, ditto --- many thanks to Deb for the opportunity to spend quality time together. I always feel like I need to "diet", when I get home --- fabulous food prepared by all! Get lots done, with much laughing and quality conversation --- we could solve a few of the world's problems! It goes way too fast!
Thanks, Linda, for the pics & commentary. I'm with you all in spirit and maybe someday in person. Love you all,
Phyllis
