February Block Exchange

Last evening there was a small group at Block Exchange. Snow had closed schools that day and it was still dicy in the subdivisions.......
We enjoy each others' company - whoever comes!!! Cindy has finished all her blocks - WOW!!!!
These are for Bonnie - same block as a couple years ago - just with lighter colors this time.

Deb is receiving many different bird blocks - the mallard is from Lisa, windows from Cindy and the birdhouses are from me.

Lisa got a few lavendar blocks last evening. We all like to see the secondary designs that form from some blocks.

Jan has us making Christmas packages - the lighting here is NOT good. These really are very red and green.

Dorothy said she has always liked these roses - and she is getting a lot of shades of red........

Carol wants it scrappy - and that's what she's getting!!!

These 3 are for Phyllis.......another block that will make a secondary pattern when sewn together.

Beth has us making these little stars.........

Georgia cut up Jim's shirts for us to strip piece...........and then add the triangles........another secondary pattern appearing!!!

Another secondary pattern appearing!!!!!!!!!!! This one for Eileen.

Roxie is getting some great black/white blocks. This is the inspiration for my Olympic Triangles.......

Ruths' Sadie and Dora blocks - love the leopard print!!!!!!!!!

Louise has provided us with a lot of little triangles already sewn together........and they are tiny.

Cindy's houses.........and trees.

We also had some show and tell - from Bonnie.........

Also from Bonnie

Eileen worked really hard to show us this one..........sorry kiddo........

This was a block exchange for Eileen a couple years ago - she's working on finishing now.

I didn't get pics of all the blocks - I got wierd colors on some, so deleted them and will take pics at another meeting.
Ruth has pics on her blog - Quilts, Books and Dogs on my sidebar.
I had a class on my new sewing machine today - and learned that I was winding bobbins wrong - the reason for my tension problems!!!!
I have a bit of machine quilting to be done - but Olympics come first - and the quilts will be there when the Olympics are over!!!

You all look very relaxed in the first picture. It's nice to see the blocks, even if we can't make it to the meeting.
