First Sunday Gallery Walk

Today was the reception at Okemos Library for the opening of Curves and Circles quilt exhibit. Many galleries in Lansing have grand opening receptions on the first Sunday of the month for their show of the month.
The local paper used to do a nice centerfold advertising of this event.......but the paper is NOT what it used to be.

This display features quilts by Cindy, Lisa, Ruth D and Ruth F and me......all with circles and curves!!!

Okemos head librarian, Joan Smith, Margaret Turnbull and Cindy are discussing the state of the arts and Carol is looking at quilts.

Cindy and Lisa sew and talk.

Carol is looking at one of Cindys' quilts.......

The "oriental" wall of the exhibit.

Quilts by me, me and Ruth F.

Quilts by Cindy, me, Cindy, me, Cindy and in the foreground by me , Cindy.....

This exhibit will be hung thru the month of March. The room is full of color!!!!!!!!..............and talent!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please visit if you are in the area........

I'm sorry I couldn't make it to the "opening". My Wednesday Group will take a field trip --- the quilts look wonderful! Thanks to you and Cindy for all your efforts to display local talent!
