A Toad, Squash Blossoms and a Quilt Under Construction

That title says it all!!!!!!! A little of this and that.

This guy has been living in my garden for about a week. He is 4 inches long and full of warts!!!!!!!!!!!! The squash plants continue to blossom - and produce more squash!!!!
I know there are people who use these blossoms in special dishes - NOT ME!!!
They are big and pretty..........
I am getting the last of the tomatoes - some little cherry ones and a couple middle size are ripening with our good weather this week.

Earlier in the week I made some leaf prints outside. Picked some special leaves, painted them and then printed them on batik fabric.
I want to use them in a little art quilt for "Another Little Quilt Swap" that I am participating in.

This is on the design wall.............all placements are subject to change.

All leaves are backed with wonder-under.....
I plan to work on this in the next week.........
Halloween costumes are just about done - I will take final pics and post them. The best pictures will be with the kids IN the costumes - mid October they will come for a "fitting" - and pics - and a special birthday party for my mom.

lovely - I can tell that I'm going to have quilt envy again this time around - last time I wanted to own at least half of the quilts made - and wouldn't have said no to the rest!

Have you tried the dollar stores for the gauntlets? I saw quite a few interesting "add ons" for costumes --- don't remember gaunlets, in particular. The kids will look cute in their Halloween attire (or anything else, for that matter!).
