OVER FOUR INCHES!!!!!! IN ONE DAY!!!!!
This is IKE in Michigan!!!
I dumped over 3 and a half inches from the gauge Saturday evening at 6:30 - and now over 4 more inches!!! This has to be a record rainfall!!!
I do not think the creek has been this high in years!!!!!
Late Saturday afternoon it was so hot and humid that almost all the windows in the house were steamed up on the OUTSIDE!!! I could only see out from the windows in the living room (upstairs). It was kinda wierd.
If you click on this picture you can see the rain falling!!!!!
I think everything is DONE!!! There were some second planting of wax beans - I had picked enuf for dinner tonight, but I'll bet the plants are done now!!!
John came home this noon. He had a good time - up north with 12 guys, golf every day, good food and drink..... I'm glad.
It was lonely home without him.......even Mango missed him!!! It will be good to have a bed partner again.........
Monday Morning Update - I just emptied 4 7/8 inches out of the rain gauge!!!!
Ashley called this morning to tell us that in central Ohio they had high winds and are without power - it went out Sunday afternoon. Schools and business are closed, so she is at home with her kids. The power companies from Dayton had gone south to Houston to help out there!!!!

Hey Linda, We're looking for authors to bring into Post Oak. Any ideas of good local childrens authors? Or not local? Let me know. Thanks, Eileen
Update: We're OK, lost some tree limbs but no house damage. Power came on at 8:15 pm on Tuesday.
But the fridge is really clean now... =)
