Look who came to the quilt show!!!!!!!!!!!
The Capitol City Guild Quilt Show was this weekend. I saw many friends - old and new.
First picture is my Journal Quilt - One A Day - a vitamin a day for the year 2006. It is really full of memories. Allison like to find the day she threw up at Horrocks. Alexander looked for the day we went to Lake Michigan.
Second picture is me and Jacob - son of Claire, grandson of Lisa.
Third picture is my dad - standing in front of a quilt of mine.
Last picture is Caitlin and her mom, Monica - Caitlin works at Foster Library with me.
Pat, my good friend from Lake Michigan came to town on Friday. She helped me set up the Education Table and area. She was at the show Saturday morning, but I didn't get a picture.....sorry, Pat.
What I feel best about at the show was that I gave a quilt away. I had three quilts for people to touch ( touching at a quilt is a no-no) at the the Education Table. There were a couple young ladies that were talking about different techniques - one a quilter, the other absorbing all the knowledge we could give. She was sooooo interested that I asked if she wanted a quilt - dumb question, I know!! I gave her one that I had hanging there - it was made in memory of Lynn Davidson, who died from breast and other cancers in 2001. Turns out this gal was recovering from breast cancer.........the quilt couldn't have gone to a better person.
A good day.
