I got to meet another childrens' book author/illustrator!!!
Grace Lin came to the Williamston branch of Capitol Area District Library on Wednesday morning. I arrived at the same time she did and got a few minutes with her.
She is the author/illustrator of a dozen picture books for children - from The Ugly Vegetables to Dim Sum for Everyone to Lissy's Friends. Many of her books have a Chinese-American theme.
I have made a quilt for her book, Robert's Snow. You can see her with the book, signing the quilt, and then us posing with the book and quilt.
She is a very lovely young woman.......and I'm a very happy old woman!!!!!!
Alexander and Allison read Robert's Snow last week and liked the book. They said that Grace looks like their mom when she wears her glasses.......sort of.
