Bonnie's Quilt-A-Long

The top is finished. I have been given the blocks ahead to make sure they are correct - and they are...........
I made 4 additional blocks so that the meanders would go out into the border. I wanted the include the turtles in the border and a friend from lunch bunch suggested putting them inside the stripe..........note the stripe is inside the turtles on the lower right!!!!!!!!!
The back will be mainly the large floral that is in the upper right border. Originally I had planned that for the border - but it was WAY too busy and the subtle stripe looked much better. The back will be finished with that floral and other left-over pieces.
The stripe was purchased to do the binding - which will now be .....I'm not sure!!!!!!!!
I do not know how this will be quilted. I'm not sure I can do it justice on my machine, but I don't want it to get stiff as most quilts done on a long arm. And I am not crazy enuf to quilt it by hand with all those seams!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really do like this...........and thank you Bonnie for all your design work.

Wonderful! I can't wait to get the rest of the patterns so I can complete my three quilts.
I have all my large quilts machine quilted and they are not stiff. Just ask the quilter to space out the quilting and lengthen the stitch a bit. Once the quilt is used it softens very quickly.

Your set is fabulous, Linda! The border is perfect. And, of course, I especially love the turtles! You and Bonnie are true quilt artists.

My thanks to Bonnie, too, for the design work on these block patterns. I hope to finish my quilt-a-long someday too. :)

Someday is a relative term. Where does the time go? Too many quilts, too little time.

This has been my favorite since I saw the first block. I love the bright colors, how each block has a similar pattern yet unique, the stripe and turtles, etc. I love it all Linda!
I enjoy following your blog too.
