You can really see the bumpy hair on Allison!!!!!!!!!
This was taken last Sunday afternoon before they left for Ohio.
This one was a panel that I did for Allison when she was little - but she did not use it. Best that it go to a little one in the hills to keep warm.
I am working on blocks for Bonnies' Quilt-A-Long. She has given us the sunflower pattern - and will give a different one each month. I had a few fat quarters in a certain line of fabric - have added to them - and will keep these for this project. The hand piecing goes very easy - can do one in an evening!!!
I am also getting the directions for block exchange ready. Must make my sample block first!!! We meet in a week, so I need to get my act together!!
I have 17 blocks for the quilt for Marcia and Dick done - 3 more to go!!!!! It is almost all batiks, hand pieced and makes my hands hurt, so I go slowly with them.
My machine has so many bells and whistles that the learning curve is challenging. I am waiting to hear about a lesson.....better happen soon!!!!!! It does sew beautifully........

I love seeing Bonnie's and your Quilt A Long blocks. They look totally different from each other and from mine! Isn't it amazing how fabric choices can completely change the same block? This will be fun to see what everyone is doing as we progress thru the year of twelve patterns. :)
I'm also enjoying spending some time in your and Terry's hand-piecing world for awhile. Thanks, Bonnie, for spearheading Quilt A Long!
Love, love, love you blocks. Could you email the picture to me. I'm trying to collect as many variations as possible to post on my blog.
Sounded like another great weekend with your grands. Is Allison's hair becoming wavy or is that from braiding when wet. Those kids are so lucky to have so many people to love them.
I can only echo Ruth's and Bonnie's comments. I haven't chosen fabric for the "quilt a long" yet --- or, for that matter, my block exchange --- too many ideas and I have to settle on one! What a wonderful picture of John with the kids!
Linda, I love your colorful quilts for the Kentucky babies. A couple of Moms and babies are going to be very happy. Love, too, different quilters' blocks on your different blogs showing what you're doing with Bonnie's Quilt-a-long. No, I haven't started or even chosen fabric. But am getting some ideas from all of you. Thanks, Daisy
