Weather and Sewing

We have been experiencing some very frigid temps. My car read 9 below zero at about 9:00 this morning on my way to the store!!!! Everything crunches outside!!!
I took this picture earlier - when I looked out and saw the moon. A friend gave me fat quarters of these fabrics last Spring. I got them out to try out a new pattern - the Bridget Bag.
I didn't even think about the fact that they could be used for the Black and White Challenge that I am participating in. I intend to do more for that challenge, but decided to post about these anyway.
This is the smaller bag - about 13 x 8 inches.
The larger bag is about 20 x 11 inches.

Both bags are fully lined with pockets and squared off bottoms.
I had to used my own fabrics for the linings and handles as the fat quarters didn't have the length that I needed.

My friend can have her pick of the bags when I see her next............
