Progress on the 150 pieces

The little quilt is together. Yes, there are 150 pieces around the center block!!!!
There are multicultural kids - Lansing has a diverse population - and things that you would see around town - from ants to beasts at the zoo. It measures 26 inches square (the limit for the exhibit) and is now basted, ready to quilt. I will do some hand quilting in the center block - logs in the brown, waves in the blue and leaves in the green - and stitch in the ditch on the outside blocks as I don't want to interfere with any of the special fabrics.

Beautiful, Linda. I love it. And you got it done so quickly. Daisy

Congratulations on getting it done. It does show the diversity of our city and I like all the symbolism.

The Lansing 150 Art Exhibition is Feb 14-15 at the Michigan Historical Museum.
It is a juried show, so no guarantees that my piece will get in. Artwork is to be submitted on Jan 30.
I'll let people know any more when I know any more!!!!!
