HAPPY NEW YEAR

The last day of 2008 began with Allison decorating for the evening. We had a few more inches of snow overnight and the kids went out sledding. Our neighbor has a nice calm hill between the houses.
Alexander spends time both on and off the sled!!!

They tried a little hill behind out home.

Allison liked going down!!!!!!!!!!

After dinner the three of us went outside sledding - in the dark!!!!! FUN!!!!!

Time to welcome in 2009. Alexander and Allison decided on a special snack - hot fudge sundaes.........and a large gingerbread person with milk.
The sundaes were not a hit..........oh well......they tried them!!!!!!!!!
The circles hanging overhead were a surprise decoration to us from the kids. They might even glow in the dark!!!!!!

After eating, time for poppers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alexander remembered these from a few years ago. The smell of gunpowder only lasts a little while.

The little confetti streamers will last for a few days!!!

Sometimes they need a little adjustment.
We will watch the Rose Parade and Michigan State football later today - and probably a few more games!!!!!
Dinner is our favorite - steak on the grill and homemade french fries.
Happy New Year to family and friends.
If you have made resolutions, good luck.........mine are simple.
Love to y'all........

My "verification" word is "messe" --- wonder if there is significance in that?!
