I chose to walk - I do a really fast walk and came in first in my age group and was seventh of all walkers. Not too many more minutes than my last 5K where I run/walk. I think I will continue to walk.
Today was COLD (15 degrees) and WINDY. The wind was coming from the south but it was NOT warm. You could really feel it in your face and body when you were bucking the wind. It was better than the rain and wind of my last race!!!
We have LOTS of ornaments on our tree - but somehow we keep hanging more each year. Many are soft hand made ornaments that we have acquired over the years. Then there are the pictures of the grands in wooden ornaments that they paint.
There was a lot of straight sewing involved - and the measurement for the handle is too short. I don't think I will be making any more.
Not when you can buy them in the store for 99 cents to $1.99......

Linda, your Christmas tree is magnificent!!!
I was hoping you would see the picture......and the little birds fit in so nicely. I'm sure a picture of the whole tree will come soon....
Missed making a comment on your last blog entry --- love the idea of the towels --- I am pretreating my flannel and terrycloth, as I type! Four warm towels on their way to completion! You need to do more 5K in the Spring and Fall!!!
Next time you run a race, please let me know. I'll come to cheer you on if I'm in town!
Congrats on the race. I saw an announcement about the race and assumed you would be participating. Good for you. I have made four of the fat sacks and just love them. They will be Christmas gifts this year. If I make more, I will make the bag taller and the straps a little longer so they can be slung over the shoulder. Its a good way to use up inexpensive flat fold fabrics on clearance. I also added pockets tucked under the straps on either side.
Thank you for your quilt contributions to the family we adopted here at work. I am sure the Mom and daughter will be surprised.
