Christmas Time

The holiday started on the 21st with Ashley and the kids coming to spend some time. The kids got to play and to bake different kinds of cookies - spritz, roll out, peanut butter with kisses on top, gingerbread boys and girls and Ashley and I did 3-4 other kinds without all the help.
Alexander worked hard with the tinker toys to make this.
A before bed snuggle with Grandpa!!

And a special Robert Sabuda pop up book read by me.

Christmas Eve we always have the Kuhlman family celebration. We gather at Aunt Chris' home.
This group of boys is playing with an indoor remote control helicopter that was part of the adult gift exchange.

Andrew got a phone that he really enjoyed. The best call was from Cookie Monster.

Allison is showing off 2 new Webkins and a coloring poster book. She loves to draw and color.

These are all the Kuhlman Greatkids.
From left - Xavier, Lawson, Allison holding Reagan, Alexander and Andrew. This is the only shot of these kids together - some of them do not stay in one place very long!!!!

Christmas morning we go downstairs to be around the tree - and stockings.
Santa found some very good children at this home.

Alexander got the Star Wars Legos that he wanted......

Every year I make sure to get a picture of Ashley and family.

Allison got the DVD of The Music Man - a play she saw last spring. She loves singing the songs......

Alexander got a remote control helicopter - so he and John had to try it out. Having high ceilings upstairs is good!!!!!

Andrew got some roller skates from Cousins Erin and her husband, Scott. He will be "he** on wheels"!!!!!! He is a very coordinated little boy.
My parents came for brunch on Christmas Day. It is good to have family here.
Ashley, Alex and Andrew left after lunch - taking my parents home to East Lansing on the way. Ashley had to work on Friday.
We have good memories of this Christmas season.

A quiet Christmas late afternoon gave time for getting out new toys. I told you she liked to draw - and color. There is a whole roll of paper on this thing!!!!

Alexander and John started on the big Star Wars lego fighter - 471 pieces!!!!

The wings go up and down - truely a work of the lego engineers!!!

Allison is pleased with her new doll that looks like her. She found some other doll clothes - including 2 sweaters that my mom knitted quite a few years ago. The doll came with us to Horrocks to get milk this morning. Her name is Allison, Junior!!!!!!!!!!!

Alexander and Allison will be here to ring in the new year.
There is still plenty of snow outside so we are going sledding this afternoon with new sleds that Santa brought on Christmas morning.

Love all the family photos --- know well what you mean about the kids staying in one place! We tried to get four of them to sit on the stairs, for a quick picture take --- for the youngest one, it took a bribe of M & M's. Our Elkhart family just left --- would rather drive in the rain than in the predicted ice. Happy New Year!
