Yard Work and Quilting

Mid-week the trees started dropping leaves - almost overnight!!
John worked hard to rake and blow the leaves before he could mow the other day. I was at the library, so i missed out.
There are lots more leaves - I will get my turn!!

We worked outside today - pruning some bushes, cleaning out the garden, bringing in the patio furniture , and dumping some pots of dying petunias. This is the tree outside the kitchen eating area window - it's very beautiful right now..........We look right into the tree as the kitchen is on the first level of the house. Our home is a walk out ranch - lower level walks out into the back yard and the creek.
I looked today for salmon in the creek - not yet, but soon. Mango was with me - he runs all over outside and follows like a puppy dog. I did find 4 violet blossoms that I brought in and put in an little vase.
I have been finishing up a couple things to put in the Woman's Historical Museum that Cindy and I curate. This was bits and pieces put together. It might even be for sale!!

This is a leftover dresden plate from a collection of antique blocks. It is definitely for sale.

Another bits and pieces......ready for quilting this weekend.
But first, an important MSU football game.
