More kid pics

This little guy can pedal the old tricycle by himself.
Stearing is another issue!!!! More pics of readers - my dad and Allison.
Andrew and Allison

I have always said I would make Halloween costumes - just tell me what you want to be and I will make it. I enjoy sewing.
Allison wanted to be Marian the Librarian from Music Man - a play we saw last spring. We talked about how others would not know who she was, so she decided to be a fairy. She is the Snow Fairy.
Andrew loves balls - so I made the baseball for him.
Alexander is doing is own - using a tunic from a couple years ago and a cape from last year. All he needed was a sword and gauntlets to be a Roman General. They forgot to bring the tunic and cape......but I had this costume from a few years ago. Hope they share a picture at Halloween so we can see what he will look like.
The killer baseball!!!!!!!!!!!!! Andrew just had to hold the sword.
I made bags for Andrew and Allison. Alexander said he wanted to use a pillowcase - when you are in 5th grade, you have to do what the other kids are doing!!! I understand and want him to be that way.

The kids went to see the Great Kuhlmans'
There was a smile on Great Grandpa's face that I hadn't seen in a long time.
I didn't catch it on camera, but the memory will be there for awhile.

On the sewing front, I have been finished up some things.
This is from 2 pieces of expensive Japanese fabric that I bought at the Grand Rapids quilt show from Material Mart. They bring the best fabrics - lots of them, good lighting, and they are the nicest couple.
I will do some machine and some hand quilting on this piece.

And since I took that picture, I started another with the floral print and will use drunkard path pieces on one side.
I also pieced 2 wall hangings using another japanese floral that I purchased....one for me and one to sell or give away.

The costumes are good and the kids even cuter! I'm envying you the quilting accomplishments --- and agree about Material Mart.

Wonderful costumes!

Ditto to Carol Schon about Material Mart - they have a lot of my money for Japanese fabrics too. :) Seeing your new project reminds me that I need to get cracking on my two Japanese fabric projects when I get home.
