Sunday morning they were in the family room with John. He fell last week and has a strained back - he spends a lot of time laying down. He went to the Dr. on Friday and got mega-motrin and some pain pills. He is not used to this - no activity and pain..........no golf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a bummer.
Sunday afternoon the kids and I went to the pool. Alexander is really swimming good now - I think watching the Olympic tryouts gave him good examples!!
Allison was jumping off the edge, going under water for things. We were all in the deep end hanging on to noodles and she started practicing falling off and going under and catching the noodle. I told her she was "treading" water and that was kinda like swimming. So she started swimming from me to the edge and and back again - about 4 feet - 1 breath worth - but on her own, way over her head.........and very proud of herself!!! I am proud of her too. We will have to go again soon.
I forgot the camera.........dumb!! All the more reason to return!!!
Monday morning, out came the Barbies - they were out all day!!! It was hot and humid - good day for Barbie and Ken and friends. 
Alexander got chess set up for after dinner. He has always beaten me ( I do not know how to play), but John got the best of him this evening.
We went outside after dinner, too. The kids played with these Nerf Crossfire Guns. They shoot these foam dart like things........fun!!!!!!!!

How nice that your sister picked up the kids --- they probably will be back in school soon, so they will enjoy more vacation now. Hope John is soon back on his feet --- I've been there and done that, and it isn't fun!
