Folk Festival and Family

Saturday was the second day of the Folk Festival in East Lansing. We got there about noon as concerts were starting. There are 4 stages of music.
The MAC stage was close to a little area downtown with a fountain of turtles - see one growing out of Alexanders' head???? Allison had an affair with this statue a couple years ago - and renewed her friendship!!!

We all got henna tatoos - Alexander got a Chinese symbol for dragon on his arm.
Allison had a butterfly and I got a little swirly design on the inside of my pinkie. Last year the one on my arm barely showed up because I am tan.
The ones on the kids are hard to see, too.
Next year, Allison and I are getting ones on our palms.

We got lunch and returned to the MAC stage for chocolate chip ice cream cookie sandwiches and another concert. You can't see the food - but if you look closely you can see the musicians.

We met up with my sister, her husband and my dad. Alexander went to Valley Court Stage with them and Allison and I went to the dance stage.
She had a great time - doing a line dance with whoever you ended up with and a square dance, too!!!!

We met up with Ruth, Deb and Carol - they were watching the dancing....as were many other people.

We were to meet Barb and others at 4, but stopped to visit some tents of art associations in the area and the lace makers. Mary Lou helped Allison make lace!!! Many years ago, I babysat for this ladys' children - a blast from the past!!!!
You can see the butterfly on Allisons arm.

We had to be back home by 6 pm to go to Kuhlmans' for Great Grandpa's 87th Birthday celebration. The kids had made cards for him.

Aunt Chris and Uncle Larry were watching Reagan while her parents went to a wedding - so we got to spend some time with her. Allison loves little babies. We also got to see cousins Xavier and Lawson.

Allison knows just what to do to make Reagan laugh!!!!!!!!!!!

After dinner and birthday pie, 2 children fell asleep fast!!!!!!!!!
Our visit was over tooooo soon. We all have things to do this week.
Today I drove them to Bowling Green where they met their parents.
We will see them all Labor Day for a Kuhlman Family picnic up north.

I've been fighting a cold/flu, so didn't go anywhere this weekend --- enjoyed seeing glimpses of the Folk Festival, as well as your little ones.
