March LEAVES like a Lion

March came in like a Lion and left like a Lion.........no baby lambs here!!!

We had the first of the season thunderstorm and over an inch of rain. Rain was pouring over the gutters and onto the front porch. At a stop in the downfall, John got the ladder out and cleaned rotten leaves from the gutter.

Last week we had 3 inches of snow and were tromping around in the back, throwing those giant snowballs in the creek and looking at lots of deer tracks.
Where we were walking is covered with water today.

I did find these daffodils trying to grow.

I know that the rains will bring more........and so something about the brown and grey colors (?) that we are all tired of seeing.

I am anxious to get at my gardens - both the flowers and the vegetables.

I will be basting a brightly colored quilt today.........maybe that will cheer me up!!!
