Quilt Rereat at Debs

No, that is not MY misspelling...........it's an inside joke on Deb!!! She was the first to misspell it and it stuck!!!

This is the group as we left this afternoon. We presented Ruth with a going away quilt as she is moving to Minnesota this week. Many friends contributed to the quilt and wrote little sayings in the border.

This is the whole quilt - quite lovely. Thanks to Cindy for organizing this wonderful memory.

Carol worked on this quilt top - made from mens' plaid shirts that she got at goodwill and other locations.

We do get lots of quilting done while there.........some on the machine and some by hand.

Some of us spend the nights and others just came for the day on Saturday. We all bring food and Deb is a wonderful hostess with the mostess.

Dolly and Ruth.........Dolly is Debs dog who went to Lansing for most of the weekend with her husband.

Bonnie and I went to GR on Thursday eve - to get ahead of an overnight snowstorm. That was a good idea. Friday early afternoon Terry, Ruth, Carol and Carol arrived and we did that fabric shopping. Saturday, Cindy, Lisa and Louise came for the day. Tish and Daisy came for bruch, too - and the presentation of the quilt.

It was a wonderful get-away with the bestest quilt friends ever. I love them all.
