The Rest of the Week..........

We enjoyed another sledding adventure. This time we went to Delta Mills Park - a great hill, new friends to sled with and the play equipment for Andrew. He said he went down every slide!!! Alexander met some kids and they put sleds and tubes together and had a great time. Great Grandma came over for dinner and was attacked by the "smootcher." He does a lot of smootching.............and everyone loves it!!!
Allison was trying out some Bendables - wazy strings that you make into flowers, etc.

Alexander made a neat plate of spaghetti with his.

The money from my parents was burning a hole in their pockets, so it had to be spent.
Andrew just loved this cap gun..........and I love the look in his eyes!!!!!!!!!

Alexander was thrilled with his new DS. Allison got the Barbie doll - a purple fairy.

Using the DS in a private spot. Alexander found an outlet back there where he could charge his new toy........

Allison got out more Barbies and covered the bed while getting them ready for a party or picnic or something!!!

Andrew enjoyed a new PlayDoh maker and just playing with the dough.......
He also discovered that mixing colors REALLY works. We had talked about mixing primary colors with crayons another time - but if you mix the yellow and blue playdoh you have green doh!!!!!!!

We had torrential rains - thunder, too - while we were in the grocery store and most of the snow melted. New Years Eve day it was in the 50s.....
John and Alexander went to the MSU Basketball game and we went outside to play.
We cleaned up LOTS of sticks in the back yard and threw them into the swollen creek - watched them go away in the current. Two pumpkins from Halloween also went into the current and on to Lake Michigan - if they make it that far!!!!!!!! Our creek connects to the Grand River which connects to Lake Michigan...........

This horse has been enjoyed for over 10 years!!! Ruth bought it for a quarter when her niece came to visit. It has been used by all 3 kids here. Allison would feed it!!!!!! And now look at what she can do with it!!!!!!!!

New Years' Eve - Andrew fell asleep but the other 2 got their poppers!!!!!!!!!

YEAH!!!! Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!

Confetti all over the dining room table.

New Years day the children made piglets in a blanket for snack lunch...............tough work.

Cut the dough into 3 triangles and wrap them around the little sausages.

New Years day dinner is always steak on the grill and home-made french fries - enjoyed by ALL!!!!!!
Andrew got to use his poppers............

I took the children to Bowling Green, Ohio to meet their parents on Sunday afternoon. They helped take down - literally downstairs - most of the Christmas decorations. We all enjoyed the time together - they are precious children.
The house is quiet. We got out for a 3.3 mile walk yesterday afternoon. Santa gave me a Garmin and I can be real accurate about my walks now. This morning I met Leslie and Maria and did 4 miles. My body is liking me again!!!!!!!

I LOVE the house quilts!! Could you post a picture by itself for me? Please :)

Is it your own design or is there a pattern for it to buy? Thank you.

Great photos! And, of course, I love seeing the horse still going strong after all these years!

The Garmin sounds great. I'd be interested in seeing a demo, maybe at Daisy or Ruth's?
