Think Fall, that is all............those were the directions given for this round robin made a few years ago. I started with the little house. It's hanging downstairs this time of year.
If you did a part of this little wall hanging, thank you.

Update on the quilt for Marcia and Dick. I have 12 blocks done...........and 8 more to do.........thank heavens there is no time limit!!

Outside, the leaves are piling up. I did some raking in the lawn areas on Sunday. The shrubs are covered - they need attention with the leaf sucker attachment. I have never used that and with John incapacitated, I fear that I will need to learn. His foot is better each day, but healing takes time. Stitches come out next Monday......and then he can take a real shower!!!! He's gotten good at washing his hair in the kitchen sink.

Looking up the oak tree you can see LOTS more leaves yet to fall. We have been known to rake at Christmas time!!!!!!!!!

Quilting By The Lake coming up this weekend. I have been collecting projects to do. We leave Friday morning and return Monday afternoon. In between is LOTS of sewing time - and being with quilt friends.
One of my projects is the quilt for Allison - need to make 6 inch blocks for the border and then the top will be done. I have cut up a lot of the pink fabrics that were given to me and will sew them back together for part of the backing as well as a couple blocks that didn't make the front.

I took my dad to a luncheon at Michigan State yesterday - for the big donors with all the big whigs in attendance. The Big Ten room was filled, a quartet from the music department played and the lunch was delicious. We sat at a table with a couple that my dad knew from milk production. Two other couple joined us and one lady looked at me and said "You're the Storybook Quilt Lady" - WOW!!!! She had come to a presentation that I did 5-7 years ago at the Michigan Womens' Historical Musuem.
Turns out all 4 ladies at the table are quilters in some way!!!!!!!!!! One had taught at Country Stitches years ago - and so had her daughter. You meet the nicest quilters when you least expect.

ooo, I am so envious of your upcoming many hours of sewing --- I could pack a car full! Nice that you help your Dad "stay in touch" --- and, fun, that you met quilters, too
Linda, ditto what Carol said. Also, I do remember your little Fall quilt. I think it was done in Charm some years back. It was one I thought I would copy "sometime" . Thanks for showing it again. With my love affair with house quilts, I may yet copy. Have fun this weekend. Daisy
