You can tell the temps outside are cool when you find Mango under the tv, on top of the boxes!!! There is a little bit of heat there!!!!!!!! I wonder about the cat hair build up - how will I explain that to the service man when it becomes clogged!!!!

With the good weather this week, John has been out taking care of leaves and garden areas. He hacked down the perennials in this area - also a bush-type that was in the middle.........oh well......if grows back, we will know it was really hardy!!!! I can't tell him - he did the job without asking.......

He also turned the soil in the garden - and dug up the carrots. I got home one evening at 8 pm and was outside scrubbing them under the spicket in the dark!!!!!!!!!!

This morning was the Run-A-Monk 5K for Woldumar Nature Center. I met up with a lady that I first met at this race last November. We see each other at quite a few races. We are both walkers - and we both won first in our age groups!!!!!!!!!!!
Last year it was windy, cold and rainy for this race and I really questioned my sanity.
This year it was almost 50 degrees and sunny - perfect race weather!!!!!

Love the cat picture. Believe the repair man has probably seen it all and won't even be phased by cat hair. Husbands are dears, but when it come to plants...In the summer Chris was weeding and pulled up a perennial that took several years to even begin to get started. However, he was so nice to be weeding that I had to let it slip. Will get another in the spring.
Hmm --- I remember asking my sons to weed --- and they pulled up all the daisies and black eyed susans, too --- an effective way of not being asked again! Congratulations on your win --- and it was a beautiful day.
I am greatly enjoying reading The Leisure Seeker --- it is like being in a conversation. Thanks for the recommendation.
Hi Linda! I recognized you from Belen's page! LOVE to find out you have a blog! and that you quilt! hope to see you soon!
Congratulations, Linda! Way to go on the race, AND the quilts from the retreat! Having no distractions - make that Daily-Life Interruptions - really makes a difference, eh?
Ah, yes, the Do-Or-Die Autumn pruning - we have similar methods!

Congratulations on your win! Maybe next year you can drag me along. I keep threatening. I got up this morning a purposely put on my walking shoes. Have yet to make it out of the house though....
Linda, your cat reminds me of when we had Dusty's cat some years back -- she had moved from a house into a condo no pets allowed -- and she brought her cat home for us to look after. One day I simply could not find her --the cat!@ -- and she had crawled into a small space above our first computer and was totally at peace. Congrats on all the other stuff. Daisy
