This quilt is one of my favorites. It was made in 1994 from liberated star blocks won at quilt guild (Tricia's Tiny Treats). I made a few extra and put this together. It is backed with the same batik as you see on the front and hand quilted.
I lives on the quilt stand in our bedroom and I put it over me when I need a little more warmth at night - or for a quick nap on the bed.
In the picture it is on it's side - easier to photograph on the line that way.
You can see the Thermore batt.
I appliqued it as best as I could and quilted the circle in the center.

Not too bad, if I do say so myself. The lesson for today is please use good cotton fabric when making blocks for others. The doctor is done for now.

I'll probably have this over me tonight when we go to bed.......it should get below freezing.
We tried to put the electric blanket on, but it was too much..........this quilt is JUST RIGHT!!!

nice fix!
Great job of repair. It was good to repair the whole block. I can see why you like to snuggle under it. Another spontaneous and fun quilt. BB
I'm sure I've seen these blocks and quilt before --- just don't remember. ...but, the fix is great and the quilt has lots of personality --- just like its owner!
