Snow, Sun and my new camera!!

I started out on the path by the creek and found a new roadblock!!! No big deal, I can walk over this - the deer have, too. The deer have also crossed over the creek in some places.........and not fallen in!!
The creek is not completely frozen over - and the water sounds lovely as it flows in and out of the ice.

The shadows on the back look neat.........

As does the snow on the fir trees.........looks like some kind of skeleton or something..........

This little blue spruce was planted about 20 years ago as a single twig from an Arbor Day give-away. It does not get a lot of light where it is, but is now too big to transplant.

This is my hydrangea plant - covered against the elements..........
Those are asters that never got trimmed in the fall.......they will be taken care of in the spring, I'm sure.....

My new camera has special settings - one is for snow. It is supposed to provide crisp, clear shots whern the whole screen is white. I have to try these things out!!!
There are other settings for sports, fireworks, sunset, beach, flowers, text, party - wonder if I will learn to use them all???!!!
