Its COLD out there!!!

Temperatures are in the single digits, wind chill below zero.........
I'm staying inside.
We have only had a dusting of snow, but John dutifully shoveled the drive and front walk. I stayed inside and sewed. My niece is having a baby girl in the spring - so I got to make a very pink quilt. It is ready for a little more machine quilting.
I had enough fabric to make a second one - that one will go to charity.
Block Exchange starts this month. I don't know how many years I've been doing this - but it's great to get together with quilt friends once a month and share blocks. Everyone makes a block for you - and you for each of the others.
This year will be a music quilt for my sister in law in Wyoming - she is a concert cellist.......
I'm providing the square of music fabric for the center and asking others to create a colorful block. It's an easy pattern and I hope my friends have fun with it.

My Charm group has been issued a challenge. I really had sworn off challenges and the like. But since my first charm exchange produced pieces that could not be put together easily, I decided to do this.
Daisy wants us to do a charm round robin - people adding to the given block each month.......
No block for me - just add a row or two of fun, animal, kid, conversation, fish, wild fabrics to this..............most all these came from my scrap bag.

I was part of a block exchange with some ladies in Japan. Some of them are coming to the Lansing Area Patchers Quilt Show in March.
I made these bags to put goodies in for the ladies. They are from decorator sample fabrics that have been sitting in a drawer for maybe 10 years!!!! Glad to put them to good use. I have made bags from them for nieces and now the fabric is gone and I have an empty drawer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My sewing machine is going to be serviced this week. Does that mean I can't sew????????
Oh no.........I have back-up ----- a little Singer Featherweight that I can use.....just have to get out the directions as it's been awhile since I used it.
It can fit right in my cabinet while my Pfaff is at the spa!!!!

Looks like you've been staying in and sewing . . . a lot.

Ps. While I have your attention . . . I'm passing on this award.
