Summer Sewing

New shoes - and they are GREAT!!
Remember this?   Made 3 years ago.  Hangs in the foyer during the summer.  Just had to share again.
Single block made for a bicycling friend.
Ongoing applique project - will have many more adds  and borders.
In May, I took paper piecing class from Karen Kay Buckley (an EXCELLENT  teacher) at Sauder Village quilt fair.   The center 16 blocks are finally sewn - lots of paper to be removed.    I will be combining them with my block exchange blocks from this year.
August 19 is the Leading Ladies Marathon and 1/2 in Spearfish, South Dakota.   I am going to do this with 3 runner friends.   We are staying in KOA cabins and bringing our own bedding.   I made each of us a pillowcase.

I made myself a large tote bag with lots of interior pockets.   The block is called South Dakota - with runners, rocks, water, evergreens, blue skies and the road we will be running on.    I will be walking the 1/2 marathon.    Looking forward to this adventure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you have a great time on your adventure. Seems like the older we get, the more adventuresome we become.
