Family and Lake Michigan

Great Grandma K joined us for dinner on Sunday.
Monday we had lunch at Burcham with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa T.
Andrew is so tender with them.
We stopped to check out "The Rock" on campus.   Andrew remembers it being painted for Maxs' Race over a year ago............many coats of paint since then!!
Tuesday we headed to Lake Michigan - Grand Haven to be exact.   Just in town we stopped to see the Pere Marquette engine - the one that us used in The Polar Express Christmas book.
The sand was soooo inviting.    Water was calm but very cold!!!
After our picnic lunch we walked to the lighthouse.....and saw many people fishing - and some fish!!
More play in the sand.  We did go in the water a little bit - the wind picked up and we got to jump waves.
And eat more snacks!!!
We had dinner in town and walked along the channel.   Lots of boats!!!    Snack there was flavored popcorn that we ate and brought home.
We got home in time to have a quick bath to wash the sand from ears, etc and get to bed!!!!
Today has been a quiet day - playing with legos, etc.

Busy day --- guess I know why I didn't see you at the library. Kids are growing --- too bad Alexander has reached that age, when other activities start to interfere --- the price of aging! I'm sure he is missing having all this fun.
