Christmas 2011

Nothing to do with Christmas and everything to do with a cute little boy. Notice the new glasses - now everything "looks just right." Allison got new glasses, too.

I made this stick horse for Ashley many years ago. Every once in awhile, he excapes his stable and goes for a ride around the house. Friday evening was Kuhlman Christmas. These are all the "greats."

Yummy dinner with cousins!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday the children did Gingerbread boys and girls. It's all about the rolling and cutting out............and decorating your own!!!! They each took home a little box of their "guys."

We had a nice Christmas eve dinner - turkey and all the trimmings. Each child contributed one thing - Alexander wanted Jalapeno Pringles, Allison made corn casserole and Andrew made plain orange spoon jello. Alexander was pleased that he had no prep to do!!!!!!!!!

And he got a leg for dinner!!!!!!!

My folks and Johns' mom joined us for dinner.

Christmas morning was very calm. Legos were a big hit. Each child got a table to work on. Andrew in the kitchen with his ewok tree fort and star wars transports. He follows the directions all on his own.

Allison had the game table with her Harry Potter legos - she got the Burrow and the Train from Santa.
She got out all her other Harry Potter sets and filled the table!!!!!!!!!!

Alexander had the dining room table to work on his Star Wars ships - over 800 pieces.

Legos are wonderful..........

We had a very calm day - dinner was leftovers!!!!!!!!!!!!

And more Susquicentennial Swirl Ice Cream from the MSU Dairy Store - a big hit!!!!

Monday was sunny and time to pack the van. The children got to learn to use the tire pump and try out their new bikes.

Alexander and his new mountain bike.

Andrew will be taking off on his own soon...........but for now, the training wheels are on.

All in all, a very nice Christmas for everyone............and we look forward to a great 2012.

What a lovely Christmas eve and day! I love a calm 25th when everyone can enjoy the book(s), toys, and crafts that they have received. Leftovers are the perfect meal(a)!
