Labor Day Weekend

The kids came in late Friday night. First thing Saturday morning - out come the legos!!!!!!!!!!! This cute little guy gets to stay with us all week - all by himself!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sunday is a large family gathering on a little lake west of Clair. This is the newest toy up there - used by both kids and adults!!!!!
Andrew and Lawson were battling here. Kind of like the old tether ball - but updated!!!!!

Andrew and John played- if the ball hit Andrew, John got an X Point - and that's not a good thing - acording to the rules of Andrew!!!!!!!
I played with him and got 6 X points!!!!!!!!! I'm so bad!!!!!!!

The kids got instructions for tubing - 3 tubes, 4 kids - Alexander, Andrew, Allison andn Xavier.

They really enjoy this!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think they could have kept the boat driver busy all afternoon. Thanks Larry and Matt. Some big kids got into the act, too.

Trevor used the Sea-Doo - what you will not see is the hot dogger that threw himself off!!!!!!!!

Andrew and Reagan played with this truck - press the guy and the truck goes to the other person. What fun for a 4 and 2 year old!!!!!

Fishing instruction came from Tina and Trevor.........at least 3 kids casting at once. Glad it was them not me!!!!!!!!!

Especially glad it was not me when this box was opened. I'm behind the camera for a reason!!!!!!!!!

More kids, more casting, and Alexander actually caught a little fish. He put his own worms on, too!!!!!

Dinner was yummy brisket and corn on the cob and a couple salads, veggies, fruit, etc. The important thing was that family was together.
Later in the evening, down by the campfire many of us made sa-mores - YUM!!!! New addition - add a little peanut butter to one side of the graham cracker.......try it!!!!!
We enjoyed some great fireworks over the lake at dark.
The kids rode with us - this has gotten to be the "tradition." They were asleep very quickly for the hour 45 minute ride home. I think I dozed a little, too.
This morning Aunt Tina took the 3 kids out to breakfast and to Barnes and Noble. Thanks Aunt Tina............you are great!!!!!!!!
Ashley, Alex, Alexander and Allison left just after lunch time to make a quick visit to G&G Thomas at Burcham Hills....and to head home to Ohio.
Andrew has been playing with his lego guys while I clean up around here - laundry, sweeping, bathrooms, etc. So far, so good. I'm sure I will post more pics later in the week - and probably NOT sewing projects!!!!!!

Looks like a great time --- nice that you had decent weather for "lake time". I'm sure you won't get much sewing done this week!

What wonderful family time you had, Linda! It looks as though EVERYone had a fantastic time. I will assume that you were NOT the driver if you think you may have dozed off also on the way home!

Have a Terrific Week with Andrew - isn't it fun for all parties to have just one grandchild at a time for a week. We've done the same, and it is special forever.
