East Lansing Aquatic Center

The day started early - and Alexander read for an hour and a half before getting up for breakfast.
We packed a picnic lunch. I was able to get an appointment to have my hair trimmed and shaped up before we went to the water park - it was looking terribly shaggy!!! Thanks Terri. The tube slide is fun.
You just float at the end of the ride.

Alexander liked the body slide best - it's faster!!!!!!

My sister is visiting from Virginia and joined us.
She was able to give Alexander some good pointers about his swimming stroke - arms, breathing, kicking.

And his stroke is much stronger when he can put all that together.
Hopefully we will get to the Grand Ledge pool this week to practice.

We stopped at the library on the way home to pick up a couple books and a Harry Potter movie for Alexander. He was asleep by the time I got on the freeway - less than a mile!!!!!!!!!!
I think all the swimming he did really tired him out!!!!!
Also made him hungry - he ate a good dinner.......

Tomorrow we have to make a little trip to Flint to take the Michigan Quilt Artist Invitational quilts to the ladies who curate the exhibit. I have quilts from Ruth and Cindy - and my Kahlua one.

Linda, I have a great picture of Alexander reading in the swing on my patio at our Charm picnic. I'll bring a print to you on Monday. He is really a neat kid! Daisy
