Yard, Garden and Run

This is my front walk. There were two bushes that got scraggly and we pulled them out. I planted the impatiens and a couple hostas there.......I think they look pretty good!!! The cone flowers and black eyed susans are blooming in the front.

The first large tomato in the garden!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cherry tomatoes are coming - John has had a couple with lunch. Hopefully more this week.

The first of the yellow squash!!!!!! I like them when they are little - stir fry with garlic!!!

Bee balm in the front yard.

On the quilt scene - I have taken a break from the comission quilt to applique and bead some circles on this. There is still a lot of quilting to be done, too.

Close-up of the beading.

Today was Ele's Place 5K. My friends Ruth, Carol and Lisa came to cheer me on - and they sure did!!! I shaved over 2 minutes off my best time!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for coming!!!
There were ,1352 in the race!!
I also connected with others that I only see at races - very positive and encouraging people. I keep asking questions of others who have done this longer than me. I want to learn all I can about this walk/run thing I'm doing.
Ruth had her camera there and has posted pictures on her blog - http://rdukelow.blogspot.com
She has pictures on Facebook!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!
