I don't normally make commission quilts - but family is an exception.
These are the fabrics that have been purchased.........a few others may fall into the mix along the way.

This afternoon, I put all in the washing machine on a short rinse - then hung them out to finish drying.

Perfect opportunity for a picture of all the fabrics.

The large piece will be used on borders too.

This is the block -look familiar?
This is just laid out - not sewn yet.
I will need to do 20 of these and there is no time limit set.
I may be insane, but would only do this for someone VERY special.

So, who is so special? Love the fabrics and the block --- and know you will be done faster than I would be (even using the machine!).
I love it, although it looks a bit Christmasy. While I was sorting through old quilt magazines last week, I found a few curved block patterns with lots of pieces that look inviting to me for hand piecing. Maybe I will start a similar project later this summer.
Linda, this is so cool! I can show Dick the fabrics and block and example of the whole thing. You're the best and we feel priviledged!! Do you think it'll be too Christmasy? If you do, what about adding yellow in some of the squares in place of green? I trust your judgement so whatever you think looks good is good with me! THANK YOU!! The completed one is AWESOME!!!
