The living room was a place to relax. Accommodations were just fine!!!
There is a king bedroom on the first floor - as well as this living room, dining room with table for 8 and kitchen. Second floor has a queen room and a double room and a balcony space. The lower lever had a twin room and the workroom for quilting.
The fridge was WELL STOCKED!!!! We ate - and drank - well.
The wine and beer were in a little fridge downstairs.
So we started quilting. Lisa put together these blocks from a block exchange a few years ago.
I put together this years' block exchange and got borders on three sides. I will put a border on the bottom - just didn't know what, so I didn't bring it.
Sunday morning brought a little sun - and it looked spectacular on the trees across the lake.
I made some tote bags. The one on the left is for my friend Betty, who gave me the fabric. I ended up with 5 totes - Pat got one and the rest will be gifts for someone!!!!

Lisa has had these blocks on her design wall for some time - and finished up this GREAT quilt top.

This is a portion of the work space in the lower level. There are 4 tables - plenty of space for each of us.
This is the paper pieced buck - LOTS of work.

Another view of the work area - very well lit.

There was even some knitting done here. Pat worked on a scarf for someone. Lisa got out a sweater to work on and I started a scarf for one of Alexanders' teachers.
Lisa basted ----block exchange from this year.

Cindy left this hanging downstairs - a surprise for Terri.

Cindy worked on a couple quilt tops, some doll quilts, and this morning, a fused project. She was a busy beaver.
Pat sewed binding on 3 baby covers and a child quilt and finished applique for another quilt.
Deb cut out pieces for a quilt for her brother and Lori pieced a fantastic buck that will be the center of this quilt.
I pieced the music quilt, made the tote bags, hand pieced some little blocks and did some knitting.

We all enjoyed ourselves - now back to work and reality.
My wonderful husband had cleaned house while I was gone. I am so fortunate to have him - 40 years and counting!!!!!!!!!!
Cindy has an entry about this great weekend on her blog - Lavender-Pie.....see my blogroll.

I am happy that you had a great time and that you took some great photos. I am arranging our next retreats in April and November 2009. I can't wait! Cyndee
Wow - you all were really productive! I esp. liked seeing Lori's progress on the deer for Debra's brother's quilt, as I was with Debra and Lori when they bought the pattern in Marshall this year. Good work!
Wow, it seems you all had great time :) I envy such a weekend :)
Aren't retreats wonderful?!! Glad you had such a good time and were productive, too. It is hard to come back to the realities of life --- but a clean house! Wow!
