Baby Quilt

This baby quilt is entirely hand pieced and hand appliqued - with lots of love!!! The black/white blocks are black/white fabrics that are opposites.......25 little one inch squares in each block.

The appliqued border is original..........just made it up!!!

The "kid" fabric is from an Eric Carle line. He is a children's book author - The Very Hungry Catepillar, Brown Bear.....etc. The center colored squares - they started out as squares until I appliqued the stripe on them - are also from his line of fabric. He draws texture - with many kinds of paints, then cuts the shapes out for his illustrations. His books are classic!!!!!!!

Last weekend when in Marshall, I purchased this for the back - red with white and black polka dots - perfect!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't got a batt yet........but want to get it basted so I can machine quilt this one.

Love this quilt! Don't quilt it with the backing on top --- it makes me dizzy looking at it!

A wonderful quilt, Linda. The border really works and I love the way you showed off the black and white on a baby quilt!

Well, I like it too (as those above) (in the comments, not necessarily angels)and I am wondering who is the lucky recipient, or is that a secret? I love the black and white squares - very effective. And so CHEERFUL!!!

Oh, sorry Linda, that "anonymous" comment was from me, Irene, in B.C. 8-)
