The Wedding

My niece, Erin, was married in Layfayette, Indiana on December 29.
We drove with the kids - Alexander and Allison stayed with us - on Friday. From Coldwater to Ft. Wayne there was awful snow - 35-40 mph on I-69!!! After that it turned to rain. Horrible driving conditions!!!

Allison was the flower girl - She looked almost as beautiful as the bride!!!!!! You can see Allison, Sarah, Erin and Scott.
Erin looked lovely. She just glowed - as all brides are supposed to.

This is the Ring Bearer, Sebastian, with Allison. Sebastians' dad was the ring bearer at the wedding of the parents of the bride - just a few years ago!!!!!!!

Sarah is the sister of the bride - she is a freshman at NYU. She was the maid of honor.
JR is my nephew from Virginia - he is picking which college that he will go to next fall. He was a groomsman.
Alexander is looking very handsome in his sport coat and tie.

Andrew loves music - hard to keep him down when it is playing at the reception.

Three lovely ladies at the reception.
Allison was concerned that she would be cold with a sleeveless dress in December, so I made the shawl to wear at the reception.
And, yes....I made her dress, decorated her basket and made the pillow for the ring bearer.

I got to dance with a very handsome young man. He loved the fast dances - and was quite a hit.

John got to dance with the sweet little girl of his dreams.......and his heart.

The wedding was beautiful. Erin and Scott looked so happy and I'm sure they will have a happy life together.
We are all sad that my folks could not make it to the wedding. Also my brother and his wife from Wyoming were not able to make it at the last minute because of the same illness - pneumonia!!!! They were all thought of and pictures shared with them as soon as I could.
The accomodations at the Holiday Inn in Lafayette were good. My brother had arranged a suite where we could gather for times together.
Friday evening was the rehersal - but those of us who were not involved stayed in that suite and ordered pizza so we could watch Michigan State loose in the Champs Bowl to Boston College.....oh well......
We drove home on Sunday - a nice, easy drive of 4 hours. Mango was happy to see us!!!!!!!
Happy New Year to all!!!!!!!!!!!!
