Christmas Day

First a little background..........A couple days before Christmas I came home from working at my library to 2 messages -
1- my sister and family would be coming for Christmas Day and dinner. I had planned on just us and my folks and purchased food for that number. Oh well....I can go to the crowded store........
2 - My mom was in the emergency room at a local hospital and was to be admitted with pneumonia. Now all plans were up in limbo!!!!!!

I went out and bought more food, my sister and family came to town, my mom remained in the hospital.......
Thanks to modern iv drugs, my mom came home from the hospital on Chrismtas Day afternoon. However, she could not be around school age children.......so change the dinner plans again. My sister and family would stay with them for dinner and our dinner was just us. I'm flexible!!!!!!!!

Christmas morning brought Santa gifts.
Andrew got a race track that at first scared him, but he quickly got used to the sounds and loved to put cars on and make them go around.
Alexander got a castle and some knight stuff to go with it. He also got a remote control big wheel truck which we were fortunate to take for a test drive the day after Christmas - boy, does it go!!!!

Allison got the pink game boy that she wanted - can you tell!!!!!!!!

Every year the children must pose in front of the tree..........

Alex got a new Monopoly game and Alexander cashed in!!!!!!!!!!!!

Andrew got a neat fire truck from his Great Grandparents - even tho they were not here to see him open it. He loved it!!!!!

Alexander got a new game and Allison got a Polly Pocket doll and car from the Greats........

My sister and family did come over for a quick visit....
Jonathan knew about Pokemon characters from his youth.

After dinner all the children sat around for a few stories. The Twelve Days of Christmas was a favorite - as well as the Grinch.

Even tho events did not go as originally planned, we all had a nice day.
Ashley and Alex and Andrew went back to Ohio the day after Christmas and Allison and Alexander stayed with us.......we had more family time coming up.
