National Quilt Association in Columbus

Last week I spent time at the National Quilt Association Convention and Show in Colombus, Ohio with my good friend Cindy.
We took a 2 day class with Laura Wasilowski - Fusing hand died fabrics. It was creative and fun and we both made more than one piece. The picture is of our first piece.
We saw many beautiful quilts and friends, too..........Pat met us for lunch at the North Market on Thursday. We LOVE the North Market - and Jeni's Ice Cream - Mango, Chocolate with Ceyenne and Cinnamon, French Lavendar - just to name a few...........I look forward to ice cream after lunch when we go there.
We had dinner on Thursday with Sophie from Lansing and Amy from The Alliance for Quilts from North Carolina.........good beer and conversation.
The sad ending to the day was that Cindys' duffle with her personal belongings was missing from the luggage check at the hotel.....hair dryer, cosmetics, etc.........
It was a great class.........and I intend to fuse more........

We did have a good time in Columbus. I will remember it fondly. I hope to go again when my life is brighter and happier. Fusing is fun and we need to write more fusing songs. cindy
