A Boy and his Toys.......and a Girl and her Quilts

Alexander could spend all day with his DS and new Pokemon Black.......... Legos are still popular..........don't ever throw those away!!!!!

We are all walking and running. This morning we were all out.

John walks his 3 miles. Alexander went out for a run/walk.

I did 10.5 miles with Leslie - training for that half marathon in September.

It was pretty humid out there...........we all returned home to the shower!!!!

This is the beginning of a new baby quilt. There will be applique on top and bottom and the Eric Carle kids on the sides - faces of multi-cultural kids.

I have participated in the Michigan Quilt Artist Invitational for the last few years. This year the theme is Art of the Kitchen. My creative juices have been hard to come by for the last few months.

I kept looking around my kitchen for some inspiration................and realized how much I enjoy sitting at the kitchen table with my cup of coffee.

This is the view - and my cup.

This is the quilt.

It was delivered to the organizers last week. I called it Cuppa Joe.

I wish I had that lovely view with my coffee --- I'm usually at the computer. The quilt certainly fits the theme. I'm getting warm just thinking about your walk/run.

I would like to see both of your quilts "in person" - they look wonderful as always. Is that a real napkin on the Kitchen quilt? I like your color arrangement in the baby quilt.

Hey Linda!

It looks as though you sacrificed your real table cloth or place mat for that kitchen quilt! Love it!

Life is Good our here in the Pacific Northwest. Parties are all over now, and the Next Adventure begins, with research into Where Next?!
