New Quilt for John

I finished up the top and backing for a new quilt for John.

It has to be long enough to come to the neck and go down over his feet when lying on the couch.

I used ALL the leftover pieces for the backing. Only had to add 1 piece - and I'm sorry that she is on her head in this picture!!!!!!!!!

I don't usually purchase "lines" or stick to a line of fabric - but this one caught my eye for this project.

You can now see the focus fabric.

I want to get a wool batt for this - hopefully soft and warm for him.
I will machine quilt this myself.

You always do such nice work!

I thought of you when it was snowing throughout the day yesterday and happy it didn't stick! Guess what we woke up to! SNOW! I'm glad it's melted and gone. We had little floods all over the stairs and walks.

I hope it doesn't come your way!

I was so glad to see this quilt "in person", Linda. It is quite beautiful and I'm sure John loves it as well as loving the quilter who made the effort to produce his snuggling quilt. Daisy

I saw it in person, too and the pictures don't do it justice. Great job, Linda.
