Charm Group

I didn't make it to the potluck - too busy with Stollen!!!
It worked out ok - they only had 2 "main dishes" and a salad - and a dozen desserts!!!!!!

After dinner Bonnie presented Cindy with Christmas blocks that we each had made - NOT something from Bath and Body Works!!!!!! Cindy will have a challenge to put them together for her OWN Christmas quilt. She has posted pics of them on her blog - Lavender Pie on my sidebar. Then we showed our "Landscape" challenges.........
Ruth did an Australian Tree.
Georgia has this landscape in progress - she says it still needs work.

A closer look at the landscape. She used lots of different fabrics for the topography.

Louise made this bear in nature - looks like Alaska to many of us.

Ruth did this straight line landscape - really turned out neat. I hope she hangs it in her home!!!

Carol cut and sewed in a special way to achieve this look - it really is unique - and looks better in the picture than in person!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cindy had some flowers in a garden. OK.......she cheated - she made this in a class a few years ago. That's ok - we have no rules!!!!!!!!!!!

Lisa used some of her Jane Sassaman for this - something about the characters in Yellow Submarine movie...........

My tree.

Daisy's house - her own - and her backyard, the gazebo, etc - notice Gracie rolling in the grass!!!!!!!!!!

We sure are a group of talented quilters..........and I'm glad to call all of them my friends.......

Sounds like my first work party - top it off they had a cupcake contest...

Hopefully todays will be more balanced. If not tomorrows will be, why? because I am in charge of that one!

Loved the landscapes!

We really did have quite a variety of landscapes (as well as desserts!). Mine does look very different in the photo --- now I have to decide on borders and quilting. Thanks for posting the pictures --- it's nice to see all of them.

Thanks for posting the photos, Linda! This turned out to be a good challenge project.

Thanks for all the pics, Linda. I was pleased that so many of the Charm group accepted the challenge. There are 17 of us -- 16 at the meeting, and 10 of the 16made the challenge. Dorothy made hers also and will bring it to our January meeting.

Always interesting to see quilters' interpretation of a challenge, and THIS group is very creative! Daisy
