LAP Challenge

The Lansing Area Patchers (LAP) Challenge this year is to use colors that start with your initials (LKK) in a quilt - of any shape and size. I added applique to that challenge since that is something I have done very little - an additional challenge to myself.
My three colors, and the title of the quilt - Lagoon, Kiwi and Kumquat.
I hand appliqued the floral blocks and machine quilted the quilt.
It is about 40 by 46 inches and is hanging in my sewing room at the moment - finished!!!!!

Hi Mom,
Did I ever tell you that "kumquat" is Alex's nickname for me when I'm pregnant?

Back when I was expecting Alexander, I was a little depressed at being round, and said "I look like a kumquat with legs!!"

Alex hugged me and said "But honey, you're MY kumquat with legs." He can be so sweet. =)

Love
Ashley
